PULLMAN, Wash. – Joe Pistorese worked seven 1/3 innings and Cameron Frost had a pair of hits, including a key RBI in the sixth, as Washington State rallied for a 3-1 victory over Oregon Saturday night at Bailey-Brayton Field.
Pistorese started for Washington State (26-22, 9-14) and retired the first 11 men he faced before surrendering a two-out single to Mitchell Tolman in the fourth. The senior southpaw ran into trouble in the sixth as Jakob Goldfarb opened the inning with a double then came home one-out later on a Tolman single to give Oregon (28-22, 10-13) a 1-0 lead.
