Earlier this week, WSU volleyball’s star junior Pia Timmer was named Pac-12 offensive player of the week for the second straight time. But the outside hitter wasn’t about to stop there.
On Tuesday, the American Volleyball Coaches Association named Timmer the national player of the week. The honor marks just the second time in WSU program history that the award has been handed out to a Cougar.
Of course, both honors are more than deserved after a weekend for the ages for Timmer and the Cougs. On Friday, she racked up nine kills in a sweep over #24 Colorado.
