LIHUE, Hawaii – Sophomore Peter Jung fired a closing-round 68 to lead four Washington State players under par during the final round of play at the 2023 John Burns Intercollegiate Friday on the 6,905-yard Ocean Course at Hokuala. The Cougars finished the third round with their best 18-hole score of the tournament, posting a 9-under par, 279, to finish tied for 15th in their spring season debut.
Jung's four-under 68 Friday included five birdies against just one bogey, allowing him to finish the 54-hole tournament at an even-par 216. Junior Preston Bebich also had five birdies on his round, finishing the day with a three-under 69.
