IRVING, Texas – Washington State linebacker Peyton Pelluer was named a semifinalist for the 2018 William V. Campbell Trophy, The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.
Pelluer is one of 179 semifinalists for the award that recognizes the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation. The sixth-year senior entered the week second on the team in tackles (26) and is four year-year starter on the Cougar defense where he has recorded 280 tackles including 26.5 for loss. He missed the final 10 games of the 2017 season with a foot injury but received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA over the winter.
