Pac-12 football debate over stealing signals rages on, comes to WSU Saturday

Is trying to steal an opponent’s offensive signals unethical or illegal? That depends on how it’s done and who you ask in the Pac-12.

Anyone who watched Oregon’s triple-overtime thriller against Arizona State on Thursday night noticed the giant white sheets the Ducks held up on their sideline as they signaled plays in to their offense.

The sheets were deployed as a defense against the Sun Devils, who have been accused of stealing their opponents’ offensive signals for two consecutive weeks.

Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost told reporters Monday morning that he has “never heard of a team going to the lengths (the Sun Devils) go to try and get the signals.
