Outdoor writer Dave Graybill reports great success for kings at Brewster Derby

Here is the latest fishing report from Dave Graybill, longtime Eastern Washington outdoor radio host and angler:

The Brewster Salmon Derby was a big success again this year.

Tickets sold fast and the event sold out at 275 participants (and) they enjoyed good fishing, too.

There were 128 kings weighed in this year. This derby continues to provide one of the highest success rates of most salmon derbies, and anglers that are looking for good action on summer-run salmon should consider trying the Brewster Pool.

There are still thousands of kings stacked up below the mouth of the Okanogan River here.
