Nearly two months after receiving his release from the Washington State basketball program, Ny Redding has found a home at Wyoming, the school announced Friday.
"We are extremely excited to have Nyaires (Redding) join the program with his experience playing in the Pac-12 Conference," Wyoming assistant coach Jerome Kimbrough, who is also Redding's stepfather, said in a release. "He brings leadership and experience to the team both on the floor and in the locker room."
Due to NCAA transfer rules, Redding will sit out the 2016-17 season then have two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-2, 166-pound guard arrived at Washington State in Ernie Kent's first recruiting class and was somewhat of a priority recruit late in the cycle, having averaged nearly 30 points and 9 assists per game as a senior at Westwind Prep Academy.
