The Northshore School Board violated the state open-meetings law when the superintendent and three of the five School Board members discussed the construction of a new high school at a dinner paid for by one of the vendors on the $130 million project, according to the state auditor’s office.
The audit, released Monday, also found that accepting that meal on March 1 — and a second dinner paid by the vendor for two School Board members later that month — violated the state ethics code for elected and appointed government officers.
In April, the district issued a purchase order for about $2.
