Despite giving up just four hits in the game, the No. 10-ranked University of Washington softball team fell to Oregon State, 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at OSU Softball Complex. Among the four hits were a pair of solo home runsby the Beavers, who claimed game two of the three-game set.
Junior Casey Stangel (6-3) took the loss, allowing three hits and three runs in three innings for UW (29-10, 10-7 Pac-12). Sophomore Madi Schreyer entered the game in the fourth and tossed the final three frames, giving up just one hit and one walk.
The Husky bats scattered just six hits through seven innings.
