He led the Pac-12 in scoring, but that wasn’t enough to convince an NBA team to select him last night, as the two-round NBA Draft concluded without Robert Franks hearing his name called.
It’s not a wholly surprising outcome for the Washington State Cougars star, given that he was ranked near the bottom of a handful of top 100 prospect lists or not ranked at all, but it’s still disappointing that there wasn’t a team that fell in love with the sharpshooter.
The most likely next step for Franks is that he tries to latch on with an NBA Summer League team, where he’ll get a chance to show what he can do.
