The #Pac12AfterDark hashtag was coined last season when Pac-12 teams regularly provided the country with a weekly staple of late night drama that featured closely fought encounters that were often decided in the dying seconds, by a handful of points.
This season, however, it’s been more like #Pac12Blowouts. For whatever reason, Pac-12 games haven’t felt as close or as exciting this year. The stats back that up. Through the first seven games of every Pac-12 team’s schedule in 2014, 42 encounters were decided by one possession — defined for the purpose of this survey by anything from one through eight points.
