I went to the station Thursday to attend a mandatory staff meeting, and “mandatory,” if I’m not mistaken, means that everyone is supposed to go.
Apparently that does not apply to Brock Huard, who has been known as “The Franchise” at 710 ESPN Seattle since Kevin Calabro – a man who was actually worthy of the nickname – left a few years ago.
As “The Franchise,” Huard comes and goes as he sees fit, usually off to another college football TV appearance around the country. I swear, I see him on one channel, and I change the channel to try to get away from him, but there he is, giving us that TV smile and football insight on another game.
