SAN FRANCISCO – Washington State's Michaela Bayerlova was named the Pac-12 Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Bayerlova helped Washington State, ranked No. 47, defeat No. 16 USC Sunday, just the second time the Cougars have defeated the Trojans in program history.
Bayerlova went 1-1 last weekend against No. 6 UCLA and USC in singles play. Friday marked the opening of Pac-12 action, as the Cougars fell to No. 6 UCLA, 6-1.
