MONTEREY, Calif. – The Washington State men's golf team tied for 10th with in-state rival Gonzaga (+48, 900) at the Saint Mary's Invitational, Wednesday, at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
In the final tournament of the fall season, WSU moved two spots up the leaderboard and shot 12-over in the third round. The Cougars finished 47 strokes back of tournament-champion No. 23 San Diego State which had a total score of 853 (+1). Host-school Saint Mary's placed second (+13, 865) and San Francisco took third (+29, 881).
In his third top-25 finish of the season, sophomore tied for 24th, finishing 13 strokes back of tournament-winner Eduardo Carrete of Saint Mary's (-3, 210).
