LIHUE, Hawaii – The Washington State men's golf team moved up five places on the team leaderboard in the second round of play at the John Burns Intercollegiate. Cougars carded 7-under par; 281 as a team in Friday's second round to end the day in fifth place.
WSU had four of its five golfers shoot par-or-better in the second round of the John Burns Intercollegiate. The Cougars will go into Saturday's final round four-strokes behind Fresno State for fourth and six strokes behind BYU for third place.
Junior Pono Yanagi carded a team-best 4-under par; 68 on the tournament's second day to move up an astounding 50 spots on the player leaderboard.
