PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The Washington State University men’s golf team is currently in ninth place after shooting 20-over par (304) in the second round at the Saint Mary’s Invitational, Tuesday, at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
WSU trails leader San Diego State (-2, 566) and two other Pac-12 schools. After two rounds of play, Oregon State is in third place (+11, 579) and Arizona is in fifth place (+16, 584). The Cougars lead in-state rival Gonzaga by four strokes.
Sophomore Derek Bayley carded two of the Cougars’ five birdies in the second round.
