PULLMAN, Wash. –Washington State wide receiver Vince Mayle was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 National Football League Draft by the Cleveland Browns Saturday.
Mayle, the No. 123 overall pick, is the second Cougar taken in this year’s draft, joining defensive lineman Xavier Cooper also taken by the Browns, in Friday’s third round. Mayle is the highest WSU wide receiver draft pick since Jason Hill was taken in the third round by the San Francisco 49ers in 2007.
It is the first time Washington State has had multiple players taken in the NFL Draft since 2007, Jason Hill in the third round by the 49ers and safety Eric Frampton in the fifth round by the Oakland Raiders.
