PULLMAN, Wash. – Mason Portalski was named an assistant coach for the Washington State women's soccer team, head coach Todd Shulenberger announced Friday. Portalski returns to the Palouse, where he received his undergraduate degree, after seven seasons away from WSU.
Prior to his return to Pullman, Portalski spent two seasons coaching the Army goalkeepers, and under his guidance, Sage Strohman had the eighth best goals against average in program history at 0.89.
"We are really excited to welcome Mason and his fiancé to our Coug soccer family," Coach Shulenberger said. "It's been great watching Mason grow as a coach over the years from Northern Colorado to Coastal Carolina and now Army.
