With a 59-yard completion to Renard Bell in the second quarter against Boise State, Luke Falk passed Connor Halliday to become the Washington State Cougars’ all-time leader in passing yardage.
Falk had been struggling in the game, but after five seconds or so of protection from the offensive line, he recognized a busted coverage to find Bell absolutely wide open.
This comes one week after Falk set the school record for career passing touchdowns, leaving him as unquestionably the most statistically accomplished quarterback to play at WSU — and that’s really saying something considering he’s left names such as Drew Bledsoe, Ryan Leaf, Jack Thompson, Jason Gesser and Alex Brink in his wake.
