Pullman, Wash. (November 11, 2024) – Washington State Volleyball middle blocker Lucie Blau017eková was named the WCC Defensive Player of the Week Monday morning.
Blau017eková led the WCC this week with 11 total blocks, including four solo blocks to help the Cougs go 2-0 with wins over Pacific and Saint Mary's. She averaged 1.57 blocks per set, and with seven digs, 1.00 digs per set. She also added 20 kills on a .459 hitting percentage for a total of 30.5 points, and averaged 2.86 kills and 4.36 points per set.
This is the second weekly WCC award for Blau017eková this season, after having also been named Freshman of the Week on October 14.
