Last season, linebacker Fa’ave Fa’avae racked up 2.5 sacks in what appeared to be a bright start to the WSU career for the Carson, CA native.
Today, that start officially came to an end.
WSU representatives confirmed to Theo Lawson of the Spokesman Review that Fa’avae has decided to leave the program, news first reported by CougFan.com. CougFan’s report mentioned that Fa’avae will enter the transfer portal. That part has yet to be confirmed.
The redshirt sophomore played in seven games this season, putting up 4 tackles and one sack. You might remember his name in the news over the offseason after he got in legal trouble back in April.
