In Case You Missed It
SALT LAKE CITY – A late rocket off the foot of junior was all Washington State (8-1-1, 2-0-0) needed to come away with the win on the road at Utah (5-5-1, 0-2-0) as the Cougs shutout the Utes, 1-0, Thursday night at Ute Field. The Lynch strike came in the 77' as the Cougs' constant pressure finally paid off as WSU turned a throw-in just inside their own half into a quick attack into the offensive third. After drawing the attention of the entire Utes' backline with a run up the middle, sophomore slotted a ball through to the left-side to an unmarked Lynch who took one touch to the top of the box and fired a left-footed laser to the top right corner to put the Cougs ahead late.
