Lake Stevens quarterback Jacob Eason has been named Gatorade National Football Player of the Year and has announced he will stick with his commitment to Georgia.
Eason, a senior five-star recruit, had narrowed his choices to Georgia, where he verbally committed in July 2014, and Florida. He was expected to make his announcement Tuesday after tweeting Monday that he planned to officially commit.
Eason announced his decision Tuesday morning, where he was presented with his Gatorade State Player of the Year award from Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner.
He took a recent official visit to Washington and had an in-home visit with WSU coach Mike Leach, according to Lake Stevens coach Tom Tri.
