NAPA, Calif. – Sophomore Cherokee Kim carded a second-round 74 to lead the Washington State women’s golf team in the opening day of action at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif., Monday. The Cougars carded a 305 (+17) in the second round of play. Coupled with a first-round 310 (+22), WSU currently sits tied with Wisconsin for ninth place in the 15-team field.
Kim shot even with par on 28 holes at the Silverado Resort and Spa’s North Course, including even par on the back nine in the second round. The sophomore finished the day 6-over (150) and tied for 17th place.
