LOS ANGELES -- Washington State senior Jesse Jorgensen won the men’s 800m run as several Cougars assaulted the WSU all-time record book Sunday at the 85th annual for men and 29th annual for women Pac-12 Track & Field Championships at UCLA’s Drake Stadium.
Jorgensen won the men’s 800m race in a lifetime-best and the fourth-fastest time in WSU history of 1 minute, 46.49 seconds. A two-time All-American, Jorgensen, a redshirt senior from Puyallup, Wash., has had his best times this season on the Drake Stadium track. Arizona’s Collin Kibet was second in a time of 1:47.
