CHICAGO – Washington State offensive lineman Joe Dahl was selected with the 12th pick in the fifth round, No. 151 overall, by the Detroit Lions in the 2016 National Football League Draft Saturday.
Dahl, a Spokane, Wash. native, was a USA Today Second-Team All-American and an All-Pac-12 First Team this past season for the Cougars. Dahl was at three-year starter for WSU, starting at left tackle the past two seasons, protecting the blind side for the nation’s top-ranked passing team for two straight years.
He started 34 career games at Washington State, was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection and earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention as a senior.
