SAN FRANCISCO – Washington State's Magda Jehláu0159ová was selected as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7-Oct. 13 as announced by the Pac-12 Conference office Monday.
The freshman middle from Prerov, Czech Republic continued to be a dominate defensive force for the Cougars, as WSU picked up wins at home over both Oregon and Oregon State. The victory over the Ducks was the first inside Bohler Gym since 2005, and the Cougars sweeping both Oregon schools at home last happened in 2002 as well.
