PULLMAN, Wash. — Playing against her former team, Iman Isanovic registered a team-leading 13 kills and a pair of aces as 11th-ranked Washington State (23-7, 13-6 Pac-12) overcame a tight fourth-set loss to win in five sets, 3-2, over No. 18 Arizona State (25-6, 13-6 Pac-12) Wednesday in Bohler Gym.
Arizona State led the fifth set, 9-7, when the first of four fifth-set kills for Iman Isanovic sparked a 5-0 run for Washington State. Isanovic had three of her four kills in the set during the brief 5-0 spurt that saw the Cougs turn a two-point deficit into a three-point lead and only three points from closing out the win.
