PULLMAN, Wash. –Borislava Hristova and Maria Kostourkova, incoming freshmen of the Washington State women’s basketball team, competed in the 2015 FIBA U20 European Championships that concluded Sunday.
Hristova led Bulgaria to a seventh-place finish in the Division B championship in Podgorica, Montenegro, July 2-12. Hristova led the championship with 23.7 points per game, while pulling in 8.8 rebounds per game, and notched four double-doubles in nine games. Hristova also led the tournament from the free-throw line, with a .875 (63-for-72) clip.
Kostourkova competed for Portugal in the Division A championship that took place in Lanzarote, Spain, July 2-12.
