To commemorate the Pac-12 conference’s 100th birthday, the mayors of Pullman and Seattle, Glenn A. Johnson and Edward B. Murray, respectively, have declared today Pac-12 Conference Centennial Day, the league announced Wednesday morning.
Today marks the 100th anniversary of the Pac-12’s founding. Representatives from Washington, Oregon, Oregon State and Cal founded the conference on Dec. 2, 1915, and Washington State joined in 1917 to become the fifth member.
