The WSU secondary has been one of the nice stories of the early season with it’s surprising effectiveness. San Jose State head coach Brent Brennen went as far as to say that the backfield had four potential NFL players. Another surprise of the young season has been the emergence of true freshman Kedron Williams who has come seemingly out of nowhere. There was a lot of talk in fall camp about Halid Djrbril, Tyrece Ross and Patrick Nunn as being potential contributors in the secondary as true freshman, but Williams has leap-frogged them all. In fact, i don’t recall hearing hearing Williams name mentioned during early practices.
