Washington State senior forward Robert Franks helped lead the Cougars (10-14, 3-8) to their first road sweep in Arizona since 2007 over the weekend. On Monday he was announced as the Pac-12 and the Naismith Trophy Player of the Week. He also received recognition from the NCAA as Andy Katz’ player of the week as well.
Franks shot 65% and went 22 of 34 from the field, 12 of 18 from deep, and 9 of 9 from the line to average 32.5 points in the two games. He also averaged 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals over in the two games.
