Washington State President Kirk Schulz was named to the College Football Playoff’s Board of Managers on Monday, representing the Pac-12 Conference. Schultz, who is currently in his third year of presidency at Washington State is one of 11 on the Board of Managers.
As a member of the board, Schulz will help make sure the business, budgets, and policies are all governed properly. This group of 11 has nothing to do with the group of 13 that pick the four teams to make the playoffs at the end of the year.
The 11-man board is made up of one representative from each of the 10 FBS conferences (American Athletic, Atlantic Coast, Big Ten, Big 12, Conference USA, Mid-American, Mountain West, Pac-12, Southeastern, and Sun Belt) as well as a representative from Notre Dame who is an independent school.
