Washington State wide receiver and special teams player Kainoa Wilson has left the program according to a Spokesman Review article on Monday. Wilson, who has spent the past four years as a walk-on, has been a big contributor to the special teams unit for the Cougars.
In a season that he was named All-Pac 12 honorable mention as an all purpose player he had a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown against Oregon State for the Cougars first blocked punt touchdown since 2003. He then recovered a fumble and returned that for a touchdown against Arizona a few weeks later.
