Former Washington State defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale was promoted from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad to their active roster on Monday. The move means the Jaguars will have two former Cougars on their roster as he will join Gardner Minshew.
Ekuale, who graduated in 2017, had spent the previous two years with the Cleveland Browns between their practice squad and their active roster. He saw his first bit of NFL action last season as he appeared in seven games and tallied four tackles. In week 8 of last season he suffered a calf injury and was placed on the injured reserved list.
