Yesterday’s National signing day didn’t quite get the Cougars to a full 25 man class for 2019, so we are left to speculate who those two final scholarships will go to. The first bit of speculation centers on the transfer of Eastern Washington quarterback Gage Gubrud. Gubrud reportedly had his request denied by the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility and now is appealing that case. If the Cougars lose out on him they may turn to another quarterback transfer or more likely another quality player in the transfer portal. It also could go to a late rising junior college or high school player who has flown under the radar.
