WAREHAM, Mass. – Washington State pitcher Ian Hamilton earned Co-Most Valuable Player honors for the West Team in the Cape Cod League All-Star Game recently.
Hamilton, representing the Wareham Gatemen, pitched a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two and did not allow a hit in the fifth inning. The East won 1-0 in the game played in Wareham, Mass. Hamilton has made 11 appearances for the Gatemen this summer, recording one save, 31 strikeouts in 35.1 innings and has held hitters to a .211 batting average while posting a 0.76 ERA, second-lowest in the Cape Cod League.
