Seattle University rallied from a four-run deficit in the eighth and ninth innings to force extra innings, but host Grand Canyon used a walkoff home run in the 13th inning to pull out a 13-11 baseball victory Sunday afternoon.
Down 11-7, the Redhawks got a run in the eighth and loaded the bases in the ninth. Pinch-hitter Jack Reisinger laced a single to center to score two runs. Another pinch-hitter, Grant Newton, followed with a single to tie the score 11-11.
Paul Panaccione hit a two-run homer in the 13th inning to lift Grand Canyon (28-20, 15-5 Western Athletic Conference) to victory.
