STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman guard Daejon Davis, a graduate of Garfield High School in Seattle, drew a foul and made two free throws with 10 seconds left to help Stanford edge Washington State 86-84 in a Pac-12 basketball game Saturday.
“He did a lot nice things, but honestly it was not one of his better games,” Stanford coach Jerod Haase said of Davis. “But I wanted the ball in his hands and I wanted him to make a play.”
Reid Travis scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Cardinal (16-13 overall, 10-6 Pac-12), which has won three in a row.
