Gardner Minshew II has had a very good month, and the NFL formally recognized that today, handing the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback its rookie of the month award for September.
Minshew has played in four games and started three, being pressed into action when original starter Nick Foles went down with a broken clavicle. All Minshew has done is go 2-1 in games he’s started while completing 84 of 121 passes (69.4%) for 905 yards, seven touchdowns and an interception; only a botched two-point conversion kept the Jags from going 3-0 in his starts.
