PHOENIX – Washington State women's golf sophomore Madelyn Gamble ended the opening day of the 2023 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship in the top 10 on the player leaderboard to highlight the first round of competition for the Cougars.
Gamble was the lone WSU women's golfer to card under par in the first round of the 2023 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship, which is taking place at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona. The Pleasant Hill, California native ended the tournament's opening round at 1-under 71. Gamble heads into Tuesday's second round in a tie for 10th on the player leaderboard, as she was just one of 15 golfers to card under par during the first round of the Pac-12 Championship.
