PULLMAN, Wash. – George Galanopoulos was named an assistant coach for the Washington State men's basketball team, WSU Head Coach David Riley announced Monday. Galanopoulos arrives to Pullman as the final piece of the Cougar coaching staff, bringing a decade of NBA and international basketball experience with him.
"I'm extremely excited to be able to join the Cougars," Galanopoulos said. "Coach Riley and his staff are building something special here and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. I'm looking forward to working with today's WSU student-athletes to help develop their games for the next level.
