EUGENE, Ore. — Jeshua Anderson hit a new personal record in the 400 meter hurdles at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials on Friday. Not in terms of time, but in terms of advancement.
For the first time in three Olympic trials, Anderson made it to the final of the 400 hurdles.
The former Washington State star finished third in his semifinal heat with a time of 49.84 to advance to Sunday’s final alongside all the big names: Michael Tinsley, Breshawn Jackson, Johnny Dutch and Kerron Clement.
It’s a big accomplishment for Anderson, who just missed out on the final when he placed ninth overall at the 2008 trials.
