PLOVDIV, Bulgaria – The Washington State rowing team will have a pair of incoming freshmen represent their home country at the 2021 World Rowing Junior Championships, as twins Fiona and Hannah Elliott will row quadruple sculls for Canada. The 2021 World Rowing Championships takes place Aug. 11-15 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The twins from Sarnia, Ontario will be competing in their first major international rowing event for Canada after being spotted at a Canadian Olympic Committee talent search at the RBC Training Ground in 2019. Both have signed their National Letter of Intent to Washington State and will compete for the Cougs in the fall.
