PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's soccer team (8-1-2) defeated visiting Utah, 1-0, at Lower Soccer Field Sunday afternoon. With the victory, WSU Head Coach became the school's all-tine wins leader with 89 career victories. Cougar senior netted the game-winning goal in the 9th minute, and secured Shulenberger's place in history.
Just over eight minutes into the match, WSU found the game-winner when junior headed a ball on to sophomore . On her first touch, Turner delivered a perfectly weighted ball to the top of the Utah penalty area. The Utes' goalkeeper came off her line to meet the ball, but a running was first to it, touching the ball past the Utah keeper, before finishing off-balance with her left foot.
