Cougars wrap up day one of the NCAA West Prelims

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Washington State University Track and Field program began competition at the NCAA West Preliminary round Thursday afternoon.
Brock Eager punched his ticket to a third NCAA Championships appearance in the hammer throw after he posted the second best overall mark at the NCAA West Preliminaries. Eager recorded a throw of 228-feet 6 inches (69.65m) to qualify and advance to Austin, Texas.
Aoife Martin turned in an impressive performance in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 195-feet 2 inches (59.
