TUCSON, Ariz. – The Washington State women's soccer team (8-4, 1-3) defeated the Arizona Wildcats (4-5-3, 1-3), 2-1, Thursday night in Tucson, Ariz. WSU came back from a first-half deficit, spurred by a goal from senior Margie Detrizio in the 55th minute, as freshman Reagan Kotschau netted the game-winner from the penalty spot in the final 10 minutes. The Cougars picked up their first Pac-12 win of the season and remained undefeated on the road with the victory.
WSU found itself trailing just before the halftime whistle when the Wildcats played a free kick into the Cougars' defensive area.
