PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's soccer team (9-5-1, 2-4-1) defeated the Colorado Buffaloes (10-4-2, 2-3-2, 1-0, Thursday evening at Lower Soccer Field. WSU senior scored the match's lone goal in the 23rd minute to give WSU its second Pac-12 win and fifth-straight game unbeaten by Colorado.
The Cougars' goal came midway through the first half after a Colorado free kick. The Buffs played the set piece to the top of the box where junior cleared the ball towards midfield. Detrizio pounced on Tappan's loose clearance, shedding her defender on the turn, before dribbling to the top of the penalty box.
