PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State's historic start to the 2020-21 season continued on Saturday, Dec. 19, as the Cougars collected their first win over a ranked-opponent in four seasons by knocking off No. 21 Oregon State, 61-55, in Beasley Coliseum.
The Cougs used a late 13-3 run over the final four-plus minutes of the game against the Beavers to post their first victory over a ranked-foe since the 2016-17 season. The game-clinching run was sparked by sophomore Johanna Teder, as the Tartu, Estonia drilled four 3-point field goals in the final stanza to help WSU erase a late four-point deficit.
