Cougs resume Pac-12 season, fall to Arizona, 5-2

Box Score PULLMAN, Wash. -- Eva Alvarez Sande picked up her second win of her freshman campaign playing No. 1 singles, but Washington State women's tennis (7-7, 0-3 Pac-12) fell, 5-2, to No. 57 Arizona (14-6, 2-1 Pac-12) Friday at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.

Alvarez Sande and doubles partner, Elyse Tse, remained perfect in doubles play, winning 6-3 in their first match of the season at the No. 1 spot in the Cougars' dubs lineup. The freshman from Spain then followed up with a dominant, 6-2, 6-0, win at the top of the WSU singles lineup.
